Auto glass safety….at it’s Best
Now, more than ever, choosing a company to replace a windshield or another piece of auto glass is a critically important decision. Nationally, more than 11 million windshields are replaced each year. Of those installations, statistics tell us, as many as 60 percent are not done correctly due to poor workmanship or lack of training.
With that in mind, there now exists a way for you to better identify the glass shops that are choosing to put your safety as their primary focus. With the creation of the ANSI/Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standard (AGRSS), coupled with comprehensive training of each technician, the auto glass industry now has an easily identifiable benchmark for proper auto glass installation procedures. Ultimately, it is the AGRSS goal, and the desire of Northwest Windshields, that all customers will require their glass shops to be compliant with the practices established by this standard.
Auto glass shops that are committed to the ANSI standard and associated with the AGRSS™ process will be able to offer their clients these benefits:
- Consistently safe auto glass installation practices by having everyone follow the same set of rules, thus providing a higher consistency of quality workmanship. This means that you and your passengers can be better assured of having a safe vehicle to operate.
- Consumers will now be able to quickly and clearly identify auto glass shops that do adhere to this important industry code of “best installation practices”.
